Thinsulate
THINSULATE provides garment insulation that is extremely warm without the weight or bulk typically found in other down or polyester products. It is soft, flexible, breathable, and does not lose heat-retaining efficiency when it gets wet. Made by the 3M Company, Thinsulate is a micro-fiber blend of polyolefin and polyester, which is very thin, lightweight, warm, and moisture-resistant. Thinsulate insulation absorbs less than 1% of its weight in water, an important feature for maintaining warmth under damp conditions. Because it is so thin, it provides the warmth of a big jacket in a much less bulky garment.
